2018 Fall Prospect Clinic

The Hood College Baseball Program will be hosting its 3rd annual fall prospect clinic. The goal of our event is to provide prospective baseball student-athletes an opportunity to display their abilities while improving their game through college-level instruction. We develop players’ skills and familiarize players with the college recruiting process. Players will be instructed by members of the Hood College baseball coaching staff and will play in both drill and game settings. The opportunity for a tour of our beautiful campus will be provided on Friday, October 26th 2018.

Format:
Camp consists of position-specific instruction drill work, player evaluation, and a game. Each camper will receive a T-shirt.

Grades: 9th - 12th
Check-In: 8:30 am
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Cost: $150 per Player

Location: Frederick Community College Baseball Field, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702

Equipment: All players are responsible for their own gear. Please bring all equipment necessary to compete in live baseball action.

After attending camp, each player will receive a full evaluation from our coaching staff, Including:

  • Throwing Velocity
  • Batted ball exit velocity
  • Offensive skills
  • Defensive Skills
  • Running skills

Tuition:
Camp tuition is $150 for the day, which includes t-shirt and player evaluation.

Our Program:
The baseball team is an NCAA Division III program in our fifth year in program history. We play in the MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) on the Commonwealth Conference side. This year, we finished 32-11 and 12-9 in the conference, finishing as MAC Commonwealth runner-ups. We received top 25 votes this spring and were ranked 12th in the region. Our team finished second in the country in stolen bases, as well as placing in the top echelon of several other statistical categories.
